Advocacy
Nationally, Even Chance works to restore a positive public image of pit bulls through education, legislation, and participation in Canine Good Citizen and American Temperament Test Society programs. We advocate for pit bull owners who adopt and train breed ambassadors.
Resources
Locally, Even Chance recommends trainers, homeowners insurance, pit bull friendly housing, veterinarians, and educational materials to pit bull owners in San Diego, CA and St. Louis, MO. Through donations, we provide financial aid for spay/neuter, vaccine, and microchip procedures.
Rescue
Shelters and humane societies are overflowing with pit bulls. To help alleviate the stress of overcrowding, we place behavior-tested dogs into foster homes while the dogs await adoption. We include dogs suffering from injuries, illness, and kennel stress, as well as dogs rescued from inhumane situations. All dogs are temperament tested and examined by a veterinarian before they enter our adoption program.
