Raegan is a sweet girl with a great personality. She is potty trained and crate trained. She sleeps in her crate overnight, and when I’m gone for extended periods of time, but has done well outside of the crate (no barking or chewing) when left for short periods without supervision. When we’re hanging out at home, Raegan follows me from room to room and promptly falls asleep in the comfy-est spot in that room. When she’s not sleeping, she keeps herself busy with her chew toys, stuffed toys, or Kongs. She’s never met a toy she doesn’t like. With her people, she is very cuddly, very loving, and is working on good boundaries (sitting next to me rather than on my foot, laying next to me rather than on my lap). Raegan knows the commands Sit, Down, Leave It, Wait, Off, Touch, and Shake. She is easy on the leash when no dogs are present, but can get very excited when another dog is approaching. She is practicing a “Focus” command that helps her keep her enthusiasm in these moments to herself. She is a quick learner and responds well to positive reinforcement with both treats and praise.  When introduced to other dogs (She’s met both big and little dogs, male and female, on leash and off) Raegan does not put up with bad behavior, but corrects in a way that is appropriate. She has that typical rough and tumble pittie playstyle, she would do well in both a multi dog or single dog home. If you would like to meet Raegan and consider offering her a forever home, please fill out our adoption application here or email us at info@evenchance.org.
